Children’s University
Discover a world of adventure and learning with Children’s University and national parks.
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Children’s University, a fantastic initiative designed to inspire and encourage children aged 5 to 14 years old to explore, learn, and grow through a wide range of activities and experiences. Run by the University of Adelaide, South Australian schools participate in Children’s University to offer their students unique and engaging opportunities to expand their knowledge and spark their curiosity.
At the heart of this partnership lies the recognition of the immense value that national parks bring to education. Our national parks, gardens, and heritage sites are treasure troves of natural wonders, cultural heritage, and breathtaking landscapes that provide the perfect environment for hands-on learning and unforgettable experiences. As part of this collaboration, these beautiful locations now serve as learning destinations in the Children’s University Passport to Learning Program.
Schools must first become a member of Children’s University to participate in the program. Once enrolled, students can join as participants through their school. Time-stamps can be earned for visiting national parks, completing self-guided activity sheets, and participating in a Park of the Month event. Children’s University activity sheets for earning time-stamps can be downloaded through the Children’s University student portal (login required).
