Lashmar Conservation Park

A favourite for beach lovers, Lashmar Conservation Park adjoins the long sandy beach at Antechamber Bay.

The park is an ideal location for swimming, fishing and birdwatching and is just a short drive from Cape Willoughby lightstation.

Explore the park further by canoeing your way along the tranquil Chapman River which flows through the park and into the sea at Antechamber Bay.

A scenic picnic area and campground are also available within the park.

  • Antechamber Bay Campground

    Locat­ed on the north­ern side of the Chap­man Riv­er, this camp­ground con­sists of camp sites with near­by walk­ing trails pro­vid­ing access to the beach and the riv­er. Var­i­ous sites offer part shade and wind pro­tec­tion. Good safe calm water great for kayak­ing in the Chap­man River. 

    Access: 2WD and 4WD.
    Suit­able for: tents, select­ed sites suit­able for camper trail­ers and caravans.
    Facil­i­ties: Flush toi­let, pic­nic table.
    Camp­fires: sea­son­al fire restric­tions apply.
    Num­ber of camp­sites: 10 allo­cat­ed campsites.
    Elec­tric­i­ty: unpowered.

    Dogs are not allowed.
  • Chapman River Campground

    Locat­ed on the south­ern and east­ern side of the Chap­man Riv­er, this camp­ground con­sists of camp­sites locat­ed along the banks of the Chap­man River.

    Access: 2WD and 4WD.
    Suit­able for: tents, select­ed sites suit­able for camper trail­ers and caravans.
    Facil­i­ties: pic­nic shel­ter and tables, gas bbq that can be used every day, includ­ing Total Fire Ban days. 
    Camp­fires: allowed in des­ig­nat­ed fire pits (sea­son­al fire restric­tions apply).
    Num­ber of camp­sites: 12 allo­cat­ed campsites.
    Elec­tric­i­ty: unpowered.

    Dogs are allowed on a lead on the south­ern side of Chap­man Riv­er and in Chap­man Riv­er Campground.
