Harvey Return campground
Flinders Chase National Park and Ravine Des Casoars Wilderness Protection Area
Harvey’s Return Campground is a historic landmark that once served as a supply landing site for the Cape Borda Lightstation. Embark on the Harvey’s Return Hike to explore the cove where lightkeepers once hauled up stores using a horse-drawn winch and small rail cars. Geology enthusiasts will be captivated by the striking outcrops of tightly folded, thinly bedded schists. For a deeper dive into history, follow the old cart track of the lightkeepers along the Return Road Hike to the Cape Borda Lightstation, with a side detour to admire the stunning coastline at Scott Cove. Visit the nearby historic Lightkeeper’s Cemetery, or take a short drive to experience the Ravine Hike.
