Lin­coln Nation­al Park will be abuzz with activ­i­ties this Decem­ber as the park once again fea­tures as the Depart­ment for Envi­ron­ment and Water’s statewide ​‘Park of the Month’. 

The Kan­ga­roo Island Wilder­ness Trail has host­ed its 4000^th walk­er since open­ing two years ago.

November’s Park of the Month cel­e­bra­tions will coin­cide with the Ade­laide Shore­bird and Dol­phin Festival.

A wilder­ness pro­tec­tion area on the north-west coast of Kan­ga­roo Island has been expand­ed by around 168 hectares to increase pro­tec­tion of pris­tine wood­land habitat. 

Five koalas and two wom­bats from Cle­land Wildlife Park have arrived safe and well at Lon­gleat Safari Park in Eng­land fol­low­ing an epic jour­ney from Adelaide.
