South Australia’s new Nation­al Parks and Wildlife Ser­vice was launched on the week­end with a ranger-focused cel­e­bra­tion at Belair Nation­al Park.

The South Aus­tralian Gov­ern­ment has part­nered with a Cal­i­forn­ian uni­ver­si­ty to ensure the Flinders Ranges’ Edi­acaran fos­sils remain at the fore­front of sci­ence in the ori­gins of ani­mal life on earth.

The Water­fall Gul­ly to Mt Lofty sum­mit trail will be closed from Sec­ond Falls on week­days for four weeks while restora­tion work is car­ried out. 

Come along to a com­mu­ni­ty event this Sat­ur­day, 27 July at Belair Nation­al Park to launch the new Nation­al Parks and Wildlife Ser­vice and cel­e­brate World Ranger Day.
