The next major mile­stone for Open­ing up our Reser­voirs will be achieved this week­end with the open­ing of South Para Reser­voir for kayak­ing, fish­ing, bush­walk­ing and picnicking.

The dis­cov­ery of five active malleefowl mounds in the Gawler Ranges region has sparked fresh hopes of recov­ery for the threat­ened species. 

Ewens Ponds, locat­ed in the state’s south east, will reopen on Mon­day, 2 Decem­ber to snorkelling and diving.

Join in the fam­i­ly-friend­ly activ­i­ties at Cof­fin Bay Nation­al Park dur­ing Decem­ber to cel­e­brate it being Park of the Month. 

Many of South Aus­trali­a’s nation­al parks and reserves will be closed tomor­row due to cat­a­stroph­ic fire dan­ger conditions.
