A male dol­phin named Namor at the Ade­laide Dol­phin Sanc­tu­ary (ADS) is in good phys­i­cal con­di­tion and feed­ing and behav­ing nor­mal­ly, despite the pres­ence of a lump on its side.

Up to $52 mil­lion of works have start­ed to rebuild and reju­ve­nate Kan­ga­roo Island’s nature-based tourism in parks, cre­at­ing hun­dreds of much-need­ed jobs fol­low­ing the summer’s bush­fires and impacts from coronavirus. 

More than 12,000 hectares of native bush­land, plan­ta­tion forests and con­ser­va­tion parks in the south­ern Barossa region will be avail­able for recre­ation­al activ­i­ty this June long week­end thanks to a net­work of new access trails. 

Works to improve the health of the Katara­p­ko flood­plain are com­ing to an end after a busy 18 months of con­struc­tion and impor­tant­ly allow­ing the park to reopen to the public.

Camp­grounds in many of the state’s nation­al parks and reserves are close to being booked out over the June long week­end as South Aus­tralians take advan­tage of the lift­ing of trav­el restrictions.
