Cle­land Wildlife Park has a new Gen­er­al Man­ag­er, with the appoint­ment of award­ed hos­pi­tal­i­ty indus­try leader David Rice.

There has been a spike in kan­ga­roo field proces­sor jobs in South Aus­tralia since the expan­sion of the state’s com­mer­cial kan­ga­roo har­vest zone six months ago.

Record num­bers of vis­i­tors have flocked to Flinders Chase Nation­al Park on Kan­ga­roo Island since it reopened after the summer’s dev­as­tat­ing bushfires.

Whale-watch­ers are remind­ed to keep their dis­tance from whales dur­ing their breed­ing sea­son, with about half-a-dozen south­ern right whales recent­ly spot­ted off the low­er Eyre Penin­su­la coast.
