Ever wanted to help behind the scenes at some of South Australia’s most iconic National Parks? Applications are now open in SA’s regions for the National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia (NPWSSA) Volunteer Ranger Program, giving participants the chance to help out in some of South Australia’s most unique and beautiful parks.

In September 2020, the Department for Environment and Water (DEW) became aware of significant dieback of the mangroves adjacent to the St Kilda boardwalk within the Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary National Park – Winaityinaityi Pangkara (AIBS). The current impacted area includes approximately 10 hectares of mangrove and 35 hectares of saltmarsh adjacent to the Dry Creek salt field.
Three buoys marking part of the outer boundary of the Kellidie Bay Marine Park Sanctuary zone have recently been deployed in Kellidie Bay by National Parks and Wildlife Service SA (NPWSSA).
