South Australia’s increas­ing­ly pop­u­lar nation­al parks have received a $30 mil­lion fund­ing boost in the 2024 – 25 State Bud­get so they remain a vital haven for wildlife and bio­di­ver­si­ty, and to improve vis­i­tor experiences.

Renowned envi­ron­men­tal advo­cate Dr Jane Goodall vis­it­ed Cle­land Wildlife Park in the Ade­laide Hills on the week­end as part of her glob­al quest to inspire young peo­ple to care for and con­nect with nature.

South Aus­tralians are for­tu­nate to have access to a vast net­work of nation­al parks – and this is no dif­fer­ent for res­i­dents in Adelaide’s north who have some amaz­ing parks right on their doorstep. 

Mur­ray Riv­er Nation­al Park boasts some of the state’s most stun­ning and unique nat­ur­al envi­ron­ments, and the milder days of May are a per­fect time to visit.

Pre­serv­ing cul­tur­al sig­nif­i­cance and increas­ing vis­i­tor safe­ty are among pro­pos­als to help Tra­di­tion­al Own­ers man­age one of the Outback’s most pop­u­lar attractions.
