The $1.6 mil­lion trans­for­ma­tion of Antecham­ber Bay camp­ing facil­i­ties, in Lash­mar Con­ser­va­tion Park on Kan­ga­roo Island is under­way with the instal­la­tion of a sus­pen­sion bridge link­ing the north and south sides of the campground. 

The draft mas­ter plan for the for­mer Belair Golf Course and Coun­try Club precinct – includ­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties to increase nature-based tourism expe­ri­ences in the nation­al park – is now open for com­mu­ni­ty consultation.

New and upgrad­ed ​‘walk-in’ camp­sites are planned along the Wild South Coast Way on the Hey­sen Trail.

The cre­ation of the Wild South Coast Way on the Hey­sen Trail includes a num­ber of excit­ing improve­ments and new facil­i­ties which will be launched from 2021 through to full com­ple­tion of the expe­ri­ence in 2023.

The Wild South Coast Way on the Hey­sen Trail is an excit­ing new mul­ti-day walk­ing expe­ri­ence on South Australia’s Fleurieu Penin­su­la. New facil­i­ties and upgrades are planned which will enhance sec­tions of the exist­ing icon­ic Hey­sen Trail from Cape Jervis to Vic­tor Har­bor and will bet­ter con­nect nation­al parks on SA’s south coast.
