Con­struc­tion is under­way to improve exist­ing vis­i­tor facil­i­ties in Eyre Penin­su­la parks, with the first round of works to be under­tak­en at Lin­coln Nation­al Park’s pop­u­lar Fisherman’s Point Campground.

South Aus­tralians are now able to hit the trails at the first of the com­plet­ed moun­tain bik­ing routes at Wil­lowie and Wirrabara, as part of the $10 mil­lion Remark­able South­ern Flinders Ranges project.

Upgrades are now com­plete at one of Kan­ga­roo Island’s most icon­ic sites, Remark­able Rocks, with con­struc­tion of its acces­si­ble board­walk fin­ished in time for the Christ­mas school holidays.

A new­ly pro­claimed nation­al park on the Fleurieu Penin­su­la will ensure threat­ened native ani­mals and plant species will be pro­tect­ed for years to come — as well as pro­vid­ing new trails for moun­tain bik­ers and hikers.

As part of the South Aus­tralian Government’s Parks 2025 com­mit­ment to improve its nature-based tourism offer­ing, stage 1 of upgrades to vis­i­tor facil­i­ties at Akur­ra Adnya (Arka­roo Rock) in the Ikara-Flinders Ranges Nation­al Park has been completed.
