South Aus­tralians con­tin­ue to show their love of the out­doors with camp­ground book­ings for the upcom­ing East­er break already reach­ing 80 to 100 per cent capac­i­ty at many of our most pop­u­lar sites.

A favourite for gen­er­a­tions, Belair Nation­al Park will be cel­e­brat­ed in April as Nation­al Parks and Wildlife Service’s (NPWS) Park of the Month.

A Fed­er­al Gov­ern­ment grant of more than $720,000 has been announced to sup­port action to restore and pre­serve some of Australia’s old­est cul­tur­al her­itage sites in South Aus­tralia, includ­ing Koon­al­da Cave.

Roads have now reopened to four-wheel dri­ve traf­fic at the spec­tac­u­lar Malkum­ba-Coongie Lakes Nation­al Park and all SA desert parks, after flood­wa­ters affect­ed road access late last year.

A total of 51 pre­scribed burns are planned as part of Nation­al Parks and Wildlife Service’s (NPWS) autumn 2023 fire man­age­ment pro­gram, which is antic­i­pat­ed to start in the next fortnight.
