Google Street View Trekker

You can now take a vir­tu­al trek along 126 walk­ing trails in 30 of South Australia’s nation­al parks thanks to a col­lab­o­ra­tion between the State Gov­ern­ment and Google. 

Over five months, Google loaned Nation­al Parks and Wildlife Ser­vice South Aus­tralia a Google Street View Trekker to film in South Australia’s nation­al parks and bring them to life in Google Maps. Rangers wear­ing the Google Trekker cap­tured over 600km of walk­ing trails, park roads, camp­grounds and water­ways in some of our most beau­ti­ful places.

Google Street View now gives you the oppor­tu­ni­ty to see what the parks offer and the avail­able facil­i­ties before you go. This is an espe­cial­ly great tool if you have acces­si­bil­i­ty needs, are vis­it­ing with peo­ple of vary­ing ages or fit­ness lev­els or are push­ing a pram and want to view a trail before leav­ing home.
