Camp­ing

What do you need to make a school camp­site book­ing online?

Schools and teach­ers that have access to a cred­it card can make their own camp­site book­ings online.

When mak­ing your book­ing you will need to tell us:

  • The total num­ber of stu­dents and teach­ers camping.
  • The date/​s of the camp­ing trip.
  • Which campgrounds/​campsites you wish to camp at.

How to make a school camp­site booking?

  1. Select ​‘Book Now’.
  2. Change the date to the start date of your camp­ing trip and the num­ber of nights.
  3. Type in the name of the camp­ground in the ​‘Find by site name’.
  4. Select the camp­ground you wish to camp and select ​‘Book Now’
  5. Find the camp­sites you wish to book and select ​‘Book Now’. Note – most sites only allow a max­i­mum of 8 peo­ple. If you have a group larg­er than 8 you will need to book sev­er­al sites, (a camp­ing group with 20 peo­ple will require 3 campsites).
  6. Select ​‘I am a hiker/​cyclist/​school’ in the book­ing questions.
  7. If book­ing mul­ti­ple campgrounds/​campsites please click ​‘Add item to cart’ and con­tin­ue with your booking.
  8. You do not need to pur­chase a vehi­cle entry per­mit – this fee is waived for schools. Please email DEW.​Onlinebookings@​sa.​gov.​au to inform us on your vis­it. Please include the Park name, date/​s and the vehi­cle reg­is­tra­tion num­ber of vehicle/​s.

What if the camp­ground I want to book is a ​‘hik­er only’ site?

For a hiker’s only camp­ground (exclud­ing Eagle Water­hole in Deep Creek Nation­al Park) please fill out the School Book­ing Form below. The invoice will be sent to the school.

What if my school doesn’t have a cred­it card?

This is a book­ing request not a book­ing con­fir­ma­tion.
If your school does not have a cred­it card, please fill out the School Book­ing Form. The invoice will be sent to the school.

Day vis­it

If you are just going on a day vis­it and not camp­ing you are exempt from entrance fees but we would still like to know you are com­ing. Please email DEW.​Onlinebookings@​sa.​gov.​au to inform us on your vis­it. Please include the park name, date/​s and the vehi­cle reg­is­tra­tion num­ber of vehicle/​s.
