Making a quick escape to one of our beautiful parks for the day? Some of our parks roll out the welcome mat for free, while others have entry fees. Visit the individual park page to book.
Campsites are priced based on how many vehicles they can host and the level of facilities available. So, whether you’re after a simple spot to park and pitch a tent or a spot with amenities such as warm showers, we’ve got options to match your needs and budget.
No need! The vehicle entry fee is waived as part of your camping fees. You only need to pay vehicle entry if you plan to visit for the day.
Preparing for your trip
We keep things simple so you can focus on the fun.
Swing by your campsite and settle in from 1pm. When it’s time to pack up and head off, we ask that you check out by 11am.
Each campsite description shows how many vehicles it can accommodate. If you’ve booked a single-vehicle site but need room for more, you’ll need to cancel and rebook a campsite that accommodates the number of vehicles in your group.
Hiker-only campsites do not include vehicle entry, so it’s just you, your backpack, and the open trail. Plan to park your car in a designated day visitor area if you’re leaving it overnight, and then lace up those hiking boots.
It’s good to have a copy handy, either printed or on your smartphone, for your reference during your trip.
Our friendly park staff have a record of bookings and vehicle registration numbers, so you can hit the trails worry-free.
Head over to our Closures and Alerts page or check the individual park pages for up-to-date information.
Sometimes, entry may be restricted for safety, catastrophic fire danger, conservation, or operational requirements. Always check the alerts before you head out, and you’ll be all set!
During your stay
Found someone in your booked campsite? Mistakes happen. Have a chat with the other campers and show them your booking confirmation email. It’s not possible for a campsite to be double booked and clear signage around the parks emphasises that online bookings are required for camping.

Planning on camping under the stars? You’ll still need to book campsites in advance.
The only exception to this is the Desert Parks Pass, which includes camping in some parks.
Our multiple entry park pass has got you covered for one private vehicle with up to eight seats. A heads up — this pass doesn’t cover taxis, buses, or minibuses.
If you’re looking at the Kangaroo Island Tour Pass, that’s a personalised ticket. It’s only valid for the lucky person named on the pass, and you can’t hand it over to someone else.
While your park pass opens the gates to our breathtaking landscapes, it doesn’t cover your camping spot. You’ll still need to book your campsite separately.
The Desert Parks Pass has you covered with camping fees included for some parks.
Concession prices are available for park entry fees, tours and park passes (excluding Desert Parks Pass). To be entitled to a concession, you must hold one of the following cards:
